April to June 2011
April 2011: Training sessions on Project Development and Management were conducted in Gwadar (31 participants) and Murree (24 participants). The Fishermen Association for Community Empowerment – a Hum Qadam partner – set up a school primarily for girls in the Rehri village. Project mentoring of CSOs in Karachi, Gwadar and Badin was initiated through telephonic conversations, e-mails and visits and initial concept notes were finalized by 10 organisations.
May 2011: Training session on Local Resource Mobilization was conducted in Ganache and attended by 38 participants. Two Karachi-based NGOs participating in the Hum Qadam project received grants from the Global Fund for Human Rights.
June 2011: Training sessions on Project Development and Management were conducted in Chitral (35 participants) and Ganache (34 participants). A training session on Local Mobilization was conducted in Chitral and attended by 24 participants. These sessions concluded training in all modules in all districts. CSRC has begun developing case studies of the organisations that were helped in the Hum Qadam project. Preliminary visits to organisations trained in the last quarter were started to provide technical assistance.
